Dead Cells is an action game that combines run-based progression and permadeath with an interconnected, changing map. Players fight through a castle, collect cells from enemies and use them to unlock weapons, skills and mutations that persist across runs. Combat centers on timing attacks and dodge rolls, with builds shaped by the equipment and abilities found along the way.
The game includes more than 150 weapons, skills and mutations, branching routes opened through traversal runes, and additional difficulty levels unlocked after completing the game. The base game includes the Rise of the Giant expansion and free post-launch updates. It supports a controller as well as keyboard and mouse.
